So you may have heard — I’m sure I’ve been quite annoying about mentioning it — we were asked to participate in the Walk a Mile/Hours Against Hate campaign to support global tolerance. I wrote a song called “Walk a Mile,” and we recorded it, which looked like this:

We’re happy to be involved, but we’re not by any stretch what you might call the banner carriers for this project. That would actually be Dave Stewart, who you probably know best as the co-founder and co-songwriter of the Eurythmics. His song “Man to Man (Woman to Woman)” is the official theme song of the project. Also, they have way nicer cameras to shoot in the studio than we do 🙂

Dave Stewart also headlined a concert kicking off the event earlier this week. Other performers there included KT Tunstall, Daryl Hall, the Waterboys, and I’m told Moby was there, but I didn’t see him. There were video performances as well from A Fine Frenzy and Judith Hill, and endorsements from Graham Nash and Martina McBride. You can watch the concert here:
I’m told Transcendental Music — formerly the David Lynch Foundation Music — will be releasing all of this stuff in the coming days. At their site, you can also get (paid) downloads from Tom Waits, Iggy Pop, Ben Folds, Amanda Palmer, Rodrigo y Gabriela, and a ton of other folks, where the proceeds go to support the amazing work David Lynch is doing through his Foundation.
